NSLI is a program of the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. My track in the program entailed an Intensive immersion program designed to develop critical Mandarin language proficiency and deep knowledge of Chinese culture. My completion of the program resulted in mastery of both formal and informal language.
